Description
Sambucus nigra ‘Sampo’ (Black Elder)
A highly productive Danish variety prized for its very large clusters of deep red berries with excellent flavour. From late May to early June, it produces abundant, creamy-white, fragrant flowers in large umbels, perfect for cordials and flavourings. The berries are rich, dark red and borne in heavy clusters, ideal for making jams, juices, syrups, and natural dyes. Hardy, self-fertile, and wildlife-friendly, ‘Sampo’ is an excellent choice for gardens, orchards, and edible landscapes.
- Hardy.
- Plant sold in a 3 litre pot or bare root.
All plants grown naturally in a chemical free environment in peat-free compost.
