Description
Film Evening: The Land Remains places Britain’s renewed interest in folklore and ritual in dialogue with the Bibby Stockholm asylum barge, exploring how land, migration, and belonging shape national identity today.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of our garden, this special evening invites you to slow down, connect, and immerse yourself in storytelling that explores our relationship with land, place, and belonging. The screening will take place inside a cosy heated marquee with comfortable seating, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere whatever the weather.
Following the film, we are delighted to host a live Q&A with director Boris Thompson-Roylance, offering a rare opportunity to gain insight into the creative process, themes, and inspiration behind The Land Remains.
Arrive from 6pm to enjoy the full experience — our wood-fired pizza oven will be serving freshly made pizzas, and local folk musicians will provide a gentle soundtrack as the evening unfolds. The film will be screened at 7pm and discussion will run through to 8pm.
