Description
This is the first gathering of the 'Meeting The Garden' workshop series where we'll focus on Rose.
Join us for a herbalism workshop as we spend time with Rose, one of the garden's most beloved medicinal plants. Through herbal tea tasting, observation, reflection and discussion, participants will be invited to explore Rose through its medicinal qualities, seasonal associations, folklore, and symbolism, while developing a personal relationship with the plant through direct experience.
Drawing on herbalism, seasonal awareness, sensory learning and the cycles of the Wheel of the Year, these gatherings invite participants to slow down and cultivate meaningful relationships with plants through direct experience. Together, we will explore plants not only as medicines, but also as living members of the garden, each carrying their own qualities, stories, ecological roles, and seasonal rhythms.
Through tea tasting, observation, reflection, and discussion, participants will be encouraged to deepen their understanding of the plants around them while exploring their connections to place, wellbeing, and the wider cycles of nature.
This workshop is taking place between 10:30am-12:30pm on Saturday 29th August.
