Elaeagnus umbellata ‘Amber’. this Japanese variety of the Autumn Olive is very popular for its high yields of nutritional edible fruits, which are an amber-yellow colour speckled with silver, they are a great source of vitamins and antioxidants. The deciduous shrub itself is very ornamentally attractive with narrowly ovate silvery green leaves with silvery gold thorny branches. From May to June an abundance of fragrant, creamy white tubular flowers form which are adored by bees.
