When is the Workshop:
This workshop is running on Sat 7th Feb from 1.30pm - 4pm.
What you'll be doing:
Using a former enables you to lay thin sections to create a sculptural piece. This can have areas showing the light and a range of textures.
In this 2.5 hour session you will be able to explore surface decoration to create a unique hand made sculptural bowl. This class is suitable for beginners and more experienced. I will give a demo of how to create the piece and help you achieve your design ideas.
Pieces will be kiln fired with a colour wash of your choice to highlight the design and textures. Pieces will be ready about 3 weeks later. Class is from 1.30pm to 4pm at Careys Secret Garden, Wareham BH20 7PG.
The workshop price includes admission to the beautiful walled gardens, the Berlin wall exhibit and free parking. There is a cafe on site offering a range of delicious cakes and snacks. You may like to arrive in the morning to enjoy the gardens and make a day of it.
