Sat 22nd November from 10am - 4pm.

A unique workshop offering those who are grieving a sense of peace in the garden – and supporting the experience of loss in creative, mindful ways.

Join experienced Purbeck landscape artist Jessamy Hawke and acclaimed non-fiction author Georgie Codd for a restorative day at Carey’s Secret Garden, immersed in nature, writing and painting; sharing space and time with others who know what it’s like to feel loss.

This is a day for you to breathe and just be.

Through guided, informal and free-flowing exercises you will practice mindful painting and writing in a secluded, tranquil setting, enjoying access to beautiful spaces that are usually closed to the public – with non-pressured opportunities to talk and share with like-minded people.

By the end of the day, you will take home your own self-made artwork, bringing together what you have experienced in the garden.

As well as giving you free access to Careys, your ticket includes hot drinks and homemade cake provided by the Secret Garden – with the option to upgrade and join a communal lunch of freshly made wood-fired pizza.

No previous creative experience is necessary.

Maximum group size: 12.
