Part-Time Hospitality Team Member

Location: Careys Secret Garden, Wareham, Dorset, BH20 7PG

Start Date: April 2024

Hours: Part-time, including daytime and some evening shifts where required. Initial contract: April - September 2024. All new team members join us on a probationary period of three months.

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Hospitality Team Member to join our team in the Secret Salt Pig Coffee Shop at the heart of our beautiful 3.5-acre Victorian Walled Garden. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a special environment where nature, sustainability and regeneration meet hospitality.

Provide exceptional customer service to guests within the idyllic surroundings of our walled garden attraction in Wareham.

Use your barista skills to craft delicious and high-quality coffee for our visitors and serve simple vegetarian refreshments.

Maintain a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and presentation.

Collaborate with the team to create a positive and memorable experience for all guests. Communicate with guests about the gardens, focusing on the ethos behind the project around sustainability and regeneration.

Full, clean, driver's licence and use of your own vehicle.

At least 1 year’s Barista experience, with a passion for delivering excellent coffee and high quality hospitality service.

A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Experience of working events and a genuine interest in nature, the environment and sustainable practices is preferred.
