Event Overview
Unwind with paint and peaceful garden views in our Blooms & Brushes session. Designed for beginners, this relaxed workshop will guide you step-by-step through creating your very own garden-inspired artwork. All paints, brushes, canvases, and aprons are provided—simply bring your curiosity and creativity! This is a very relaxed and informal painting experience.
What to Expect
11:00 AM – Welcome & Warm-Up
Meet your fellow painters and settle in. Debbie will introduce the subject and talk through your materials, paints, different brushes, and layering techniques.
11:15 AM – First Strokes
Learn brush-handling basics: how to load, blend, and apply paint to build depth.
12:00 PM – Break & Garden Stroll
Stretch your legs and explore the beautiful gardens. Take your tea/coffee and biscuits with you while you wander, taking inspiration from the blooms around the Rose Wheel. The coffee shop will be open if you'd like to purchase additional refreshments (the cakes are amazing!)
12:30 PM – Layering & Detail
Return to the studio to continue your creations. Debbie will demonstrate how to use washes and bolder strokes to capture texture and light.
2:00 PM – Take Home Your Masterpiece
You’ll leave with a unique piece of garden-inspired art—and the confidence to paint at home!
